OPAP by the side of the little patients at the pediatric hospitals
OPAP made a pleasant surprise to the little patients of pediatric hospital “Aghia Sofia” on Tuesday, 7 February 2018. All of a sudden, the rooms were filled with carnival colors, songs, drama games and colorful balloons. Animators in costumes wished the children to get well soon and handed them gifts, putting smiles on their faces and filling them with joy.
OPAP transforms the two pediatric hospitals
The carnival fest was one of OPAP's many actions in the framework of its essential support to the children. The most important among them is the renovation of the two pediatric hospitals “Aghia Sofia” and “Panagioti and Aglaias Kyriakou”, which OPAP has been implementing since 2014. To-date, OPAP has delivered 19 projects, of a total surface area of 7,480 square meters, including 13 nursing units with a capacity of 280 beds, which have fully changed the look of the two hospitals and have created a pleasant environment for the little patients.
Three new projects are currently being completed:
- The daycare unit on the ground floor of “Aghia Sofia”, with a surface area of 600 square meters.
- The central sterile services on the ground floor of “Aghia Sofia”, with a surface area of approximately 600 square meters.
- The 2nd University Pathology Nursing Unit on the 1st floor (wing A) of “Panagioti and Aglaias Kyriakou”, with a total surface area of 550 square meters and a capacity of 22 beds.
