OPAP Sports Academies for the fourth consecutive year

On the grounds of the European Sports Week #BeActive, OPAP Sports Academies have experienced for the fourth time in order to promote active lifestyle. More than 6,500 children and their parents / guardians from all over Greece participating in OPAP's Corporate Responsibility program enjoyed a lot of games and a variety of experiential and sporting events supported by OPAP's Corporate Responsibility program from September 24th to 30th.

The main event of the OPAP Sports Academies took place on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Super Goal sports academy in Kalyvia, Attica. Where, more than 200 children participated in a soccer match with inflatable balls, fought in a special battlefield, and with their parents / chaperones they took part in the game of hidden treasure and learned the secrets of proper nutrition.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Sports and Culture George Vassiliadis, who, together with the 1st Vice-President of OPAP, Spyros Fokas, awarded all the commemorative medals to the participants.

The great event of sports was also attended by former international footballers Tasos Mitropoulos and Haris Kopitsis, athletic champion Panos Tryvizas, triathlon champion Grigoris Souvatzoglou, Olympic champion Eva Christodoulou and his Pan Hellenic winner at pole vault Aphroditi Skafida.

The European Sports Week «Be Active» is a European Commission initiative to promote sport and physical activity. OPAP Sports Academies participate every year in this European campaign, with a variety of actions designed to inspire children and adults to be active during #BeActive week and remain active throughout the year.
